In today's mail was the notice for the next Principles over Politics meeting, on Saturday June 16th, 8:30 am at the Balboa Bay Club, which will be featuring State Senator Tom McClintock. This by itself is proof that new Chairman Marianne Zippi will keep the group running strong. I've been a huge fan of Sen. McClintock (he should be the Governor right now, or at least Lt. Governor) for many years, bringing many people (and new fans) to his speeches whenever he spoke at the Claremont Institute events in Orange County. His presence at the first meeting without Former Assemblyman Gil Ferguson shows the strength of the club which Gil created. It also shows that his successor will keep the club going in the Right direction. Marianne's note in the flyer about Former Assemblyman Ferguson and State Senator McClintock is classy and moving and although I will not be able to attend, I will send in my money to support the cause (kudos for including a remittance envelope this time). Good job Marianne and keep the great speakers coming!
Oh yes...please let me know if there is a website for Principle over Politics so I can add it to my links, and although they don't need any help filling the room, I can help advertise the group, and I can forward the meeting notices to my contacts, which could hopefully bring some new people into the group.
